Public comment form: Sage-grouse Implementation Team proposed core area map revisions

In anticipation of the BLM’s Sage-Grouse Resource Management Plan Amendment including their own habitat map, the Wyoming Sage-Grouse Implementation Team (SGIT) is developing recommendations for changes to update the Wyoming Sage-Grouse Core Area Map.  The initial map included extensive expansions of the Core Area including additions of private lands. Draft Map #2 (below), released in mid-June, proposes reduced expansion as well as some removals.  

The SGIT has scheduled a meeting in Lander on July 6th  to consider the public input and offer final revisions.  Under the WY Sage Grouse Executive Order, the final decision on any revisions rests with the Governor.
