Title: WSGA YPA seeks new members

Wyoming Stock Growers Association Young Producers Assembly seeks new members

YPA invites young producers to join in on convention topics & business meeting

RIVERTON, WY – The Wyoming Stock Growers Association’s (WSGA) Young Producers Assembly (YPA) was started in December of 2015. A group of young members of the WSGA came together with intentions of creating a place of learning, camaraderie and a friendly family atmosphere, all while advocating for Wyoming’s cattle industry.

The mission behind the YPA is generating opportunities for young producers to be successful and passionate about the livestock industry in Wyoming.

Young producers around the state are being encouraged to join YPA at the 2018 Wyoming Cattle Industry Convention and Trade Show in Riverton, Wyoming June 6-8 at the Holiday Inn Riverton – Conference Center. The YPA program and luncheon is set for June 6 at 10:30 a.m. in Taggert III. The program will feature Dr. John Tanaka of the University of Wyoming discussing “Financial Planning on the Ranch – Determining Return on Investment” as well as Dixie Mount, Farm Loan Officer, with the USDA-Farm Services Agency who will educate the group on “Preparing for a Loan – How to Impress your Banker.”

Following the luncheon, there will be a YPA Business Meeting at the convention taking place at 4:30 p.m. in Taggert III.

Becoming a member of the YPA is beneficial by allowing young producers to give their voice on pertinent information to the cattle industry as well as keep them up to date on issues the cattle industry in Wyoming faces. Being a member also gives the youth of the WSGA an active voice in helping shape the future of the cattle industry in Wyoming.
